3D Paper Monster

Description:

For this project, students are asked to create a 3D monster out of paper. First, students will collect all the paper/colors they will need. Next, the teacher will walk them through the steps, starting with the 3D head. This is made by folding a small portion on both sides, and gluing the tabs down. This provides the 3D effect. Next, students will add details using paper and markers, this makes their monster come to life. 

Extension Activity:

This project could be integrated into a creative writing activity. For example, the student could write stories on a fictional monster, and use the project as an illustration. Therefore, students are using art to visualize their writing.
